Keanu Reeves reacts to rumors of joining the MCU

Keanu Reeves is never worked yet with Marvel Studios. However, rumors are rife that he may soon make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Matrix star has now said that he is ready to join the universe. Keanu Reeves expressed his desire to star in a Marvel Cinematic Universe film during an interview for his upcoming film, The Matrix Resurrection.

While speaking with Esquire, the actor was asked if he would consider joining the MCU. “It would be an honor. Some really amazing directors and visionaries. They’re doing something no one’s ever really done. It’s special in that sense, in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it’d be cool to be a part of that,” he said.

Back in 2019, while talking with, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige revealed that he considers Keanu for every one of his films. “We talk to him for almost every film we make,” Feige laughed. “We talk to Keanu Reeves about. I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it,”

Meanwhile, Keanu will be seen reprising his role as Neo in The Matrix Resurrection. The fourth film in the Matrix franchise, The Matrix Resurrection, also stars Jada Pinkett Smith, who reprises her role of Niobe, and actors like Priyanka Chopra, Christina Ricci, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, and Neil Patrick Harris will be some of the new additions.

Lana Wachowski has directed the film and co-wrote the screenplay with David Mitchell and Alexander Heyman. Lana produced, wrote, and directed The Matrix franchise with her sister Lily Wachowski. In addition to The Matrix, Keanu is also set to reprise his role as John Wick for the fourth film in the John Wick series.
